Tuscany Wine

Tuscany is 25% mountains, 66% hills and 9% flatlands. It borders with Liguria, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Lazio and the Tyrrhenian Sea. It includes the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, namely Capraia, Pianosa, Elba, Montecristo, Giannutri and Giglio. Vineyards are 60.500 hectares, mostly red-berried grapes. The main vines are: Sangiovese, Sangiovese piccolo Morellino, Canaiolo nero, Trebbbiano toscano, Malvasia bianca lunga, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chardonnay, Vermentino, Ansonica.

 Ancient tuscan traditions: Corsignano farm
Let’s run to the vegetable garden to get some fruits and greens and back to the terrace to discover authenticTuscan traditions. This cooking class of about 5 hours takes place on a beautiful terrace with a view on Sienaand on the vineyards of the organic Corsignano farm.

Cooking Class and Lunch with Local Products
Cooking class products will be almost entirely organic, selected by giving priority to local farming and to theLavacchio farm vegetable patch. The class lasts about 3 hours and it will be taught by the Chefs of the Mulino a Vento restaurant. Participants will learn how to prepare some of the most famous Tuscan dishes, appetizer to dessert from scratch.

A day to discover farming
The aim of this day is to teach and make known everything possible about organic farming. We we’ll look atvine grafting, how to make olive oil, how to handle wheat and do pottery. At the Lavacchio farm the entireagricultural production, grapes, olives, wheat, and vegetables, is done according to organic farming principles.

Through Officine Turistiche, a website offering environmentally friendly wine-and-food itineraries, he also offers photo shooting, websites design, and event management.
