Parmigiano Reggiano is a DOP uncooked cheese still produced traditionally with fresh semi-skimmed milk. Neither additives nor preservatives are added at any stage. At Iris Parmigiano Reggiano is produced on the farm using only milk from their own cowsheds and from selected breeds. 1400 Parmigiano wheels are produced every year: aged 12/14 months, 24/36 months and 30/32 months. This is an activity that will help you get acquainted with a farm and an organic dairy farm where you will also get the chance to taste different dairy products.

It all began back in the fifties when the dairy farm and the adjacent land were bought. The adventure then continued in the ‘70s 80’s and 90’s when Iris received the Organic Farmstead certificate and it started producing its own Parmigiano Reggiano. Nowadays the old cowsheds have been refurbished and turned into a tasting area where the story of excellence of this farm keeps being told. A visit plus tasting and lunch based on local produce to discover the farm and the Parmigiano Reggiano DOP production.
