Visit and Tasting wine in Monferrato

Visit and tasting in wine cellar | about 1.15 hours

This Tenuta is a modern estate in Monferrato with origins dating back to the 1700s. Its 23 hectares are almost entirely dedicated to eco-symbiotic agriculture. Centerstage are Grignolino, Freisa and Barbera vines. Training systems are Guyot and Cordone/spur. The guiding principle of this estate is growing natural and wholesome grapes. These qualities are nurtured in the vineyard and transferred to the cellar, where the wine is kept in tonneaux, rather than in barriques, as of old practice. Last generation stainless steel, instead, is selected for winemaking and aging.

Visit and Tasting wine in Monferrato

Visit and tasting in wine cellar | lasts 1.15 hours

This wine cellar visit with tasting of 3 Monferrato wines takes place on a Unesco Heritage Site. Here, immersed in gentle hills, between the Alps and the Apennines, the eye travels on vineyards as far it can see. The hills surrounding the Tenuta are designed by diamond shaped vineyards and by circular vineyards, depending on land trend. Each vineyard has a name, and each is dedicated to a vine, according to soil types. Red varieties are traditional Piedmont reds, the white ones are international: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Grignolino, Syrah, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Freisa, and Sauvignon Blanc.
