The mountain viticulture in the largest terraced area in Italy

Visit to the winery + lunch and wine tasting | Duration: Approximately 3 hours

Valtellina is a unique terroir in the world, a harsh land, surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Alps with a great geological, morphological and environmental diversity. More than 850 hectares of vineyards thrive here thanks to a particular microclimate created by the south-facing exposure allowing the vines to be gently illuminated and heated by the sun. The richness and diversity of this terroir are reflected in the wines produced in Valtellina, where the peculiar geographical conditions have been interpreted and exploited over the centuries and the landscape has been shaped in 2500 kilometres of terraces. Valtellina is the most terraced area in Italy, the ideal place for the production of wines from Nebbiolo grape but it is also a beautiful destination to discover.
