Local products in the area surrounding Caserta and water springs
Guided tours and tastings | Duration: 2 days
Only thirty minutes away from the Reggia di Caserta here is an activity to discover and taste the local products and to see a water spring in the Parco del Riardo. Two days characterised by breath-taking views of vineyards, olive tree groves and medieval towns, this is the chance to get acquainted with enterprises such as Il Verro and Il Casale di Riardo and to visit a park that is being redeveloped by the FAI (Fondo Ambientale Italiano). In this park people can enjoy a dramatic scenery characterised by beautiful waterways, oak trees, olive tree groves, and organic plantations – and why not sample and taste different kinds of fresh mineral waters.

Local products in the area surrounding Caserta and water springs
Guided tours and tastings | Duration: 2 days
The main philosophies at Il Verro are the promotion of the viticulture heritage in the Caserta area and the production of organic wines according to local customs and traditions. This winery produces around 20.000 bottles of wine with three local vine varieties: Casavecchia, Pallagrello Bianco and Pallagrello Nero. Although it owns approximately 37 acres of land, only seven are cultivated since their soil is rich in lava and they are south/south east facing, where there is a significant temperature difference between the day and the night. Moreover, after rediscovering the old Coda di Pecora vineyard once cultivated between the Monte Maggiore and Roccamonfina, Il Verro is on a mission to promote it.
